14100439_10209999401204252_5200537319450069106_nElva has been with us from the mission in the neighborhood of Independencia, a neighborhood inhabited by very poor people who have many socio-economical problems:  Poverty, violence, drugs, and alcohol. Together with her husband, they are the pillars of the congregation and they carry out the work together with the pastor of the congregation of José León Suarez. More than twenty years ago, a group of youth came to the neighborhood to work missionaly and they found some people like Elva and her family, they opened their doors for spiritual needs. So through them came, our Bible course “Towards a new life.” Many of those who took the course are still there, working and worshiping God. The same goes for Elva, who is actively involved in the church, and also is active with us today. First as a volunteer and for a while as a secretary of our board. Elva is a woman of faith who is always ready to serve. We thank God for having her with us!
