XII National Lutheran Ladies Guild Convention

From July 14 to 17 I participated at the National Lutheran Ladies Guild Convention, helping at CPTLN’s stand, since I am one of the Seminary students collaborating with the Foundation this year. Approximately 500 ladies gathered in the city of Villaguay(Entre Ríos) during 4 days, to share beautiful moments grow together in the path of faith.

It was a nice experience since many ladies approached our stand and purchased out materials, joined the “Text Message Program” as volunteers, and asked about different programs we carry out. Many also approached us to tell us about their experiences in where they live and showed interest in using our booklets in a more organized way.

On Saturday afternoon, I was able to go to a radio program, along with Silvia Estigarribia (from Villaguay) who invited me to her radio program to share about the Seminary and the Foundation “Cristo para Todas las Naciones”. The program lasted half an hour, but it was more than enough time to make us smile from ear to ear and to share with other people who we are and who we work for: “For Christ, the Lord”.

The radio is located in a central part of the city, at the entrance to the municipality building. When the program was finished, we left a gift from the foundation, a poster with a phone number and email and a short explanation of who we are and what we do. We also gave them three booklets as a gift.

I thank our Lord for this beautiful opportunity He has given me, to have been able to share once more His Good News, and for giving us such good tools as CPTLN to perform His works.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations.…” (Matthew 24:14)

Jeremías Meyer

Voluntary

Creation Calls

We present a new collaborator: Jeremías

Hello to everyone, I am Jeremías Meyer, I am 20 years old, and I am pleased to share with you that I am  helping out at LHM Argentina  through the Concordia Seminary, who by means of an agreement with LHM Argentina, offers  volunteer work for 3rd year Seminary students, and I am currently in 3rd  year.

I am studying to become a pastor because I enjoy congregational activities since I was young, and I have always participated in them. I like to help out in the music area, playing the guitar, an instrument which I really love and another gift God has given me. At the Seminary, I am in 3rd year and if it is God’s will at the end of this year I will be preparing for three months of practice at a congregation.

At the LHM Argentina, I am helping out four hours a week, on Thursday afternoons, and now during July vacations I go from Monday to Friday in the afternoons. I have several tasks, but I mostly answer phone calls, collect booklet requests, prepare packages for congregations, enter data to the computer, choose Bible verses for the 2012 calendar, and many other things.

It is a great blessing to be able to work along with Gloria and Ingrid. We are always there to help each other and make this work a blessing, not a burden, a work we do with joy because we know it is for the Lord.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Mathew 5:16)

María Angela, from Tucumán…

“My name is Maria Angela, from San Miguel de Tucuman. I wish to share with you how I got to know CPTLN.

I was going through a very difficult moment in my life with many family problems, sickness, depression, alcoholism, and I felt that I was standing on the border of an abyss.

I looked for help and couldn’t find any, until one morning, my daughter heard a message on the radio offering booklets for depression. Some time passed by and one day, when I was near the place, we remembered that message God sent our way. We arrived and were greeted very kindly and we heard words that filled us with peace, something we had not felt in a long time. They gave us some booklets which have been very important in our lives, which thanks to the Lord changed 100 per cent. This is why I invite you to remember CPTLN. You will find material that can change your lives, and why not, also find some words of encouragement and understanding. Since that afternoon in August 2003, I am here happily collaborating as a volunteer.

Thanks to the Lord who blesses us!
