Laymen’s League Gathering

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This gathering was an excellent opportunity to meet old friends once again. Laymen and even some ladies from different congregations from all over the country were present at the Convention. Although it was complicated for some to be present due to their work, I’m sure that nobody left disappointed or with regrets.

It was a great occasion to learn. We talked about the responsibility God has given men as the head of the household. But other issues were also covered: marriage problems, the features of a good husband and a good wife, the husband as the head of the family, and so on.

And how can we forget the most important subject, the one that has given us a reason to exist and has allowed us to celebrate this gathering… without Him, without Jesus, all would have been in vain. Something we learned as laymen was that the center of our marriage and our family must be Jesus Christ. He is the only one in whom we can love with love that always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1º Cor. 13:7).

Service was very good. Personally, I felt very comfortable and a part of the huge group. At CPTLN’s stand I was able to talk to a lot of people and share experiences regarding missionary use of our materials (booklets). I also had the satisfaction of seeing how useful they are. CPTLN’s purpose is none other than serving God’s Mission.

I thank the Lord for having considered Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones (CPTLN) an instrument to communicate His love and to help all those who are in need.

I would like to thank the congregation of Gualeguaychú for their excellent work and effort. And all those who made this National Gathering possible.

Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.

Bahia Blanca city an other places…

Between October 21st and 24th, I had the opportunity to share new and pleasant experiences together with a group of people of the city of Bahia Blanca, who opened their homes and hearts to me.

In other places, such as Cerri and Punta Alta, we were able to carry out workshops regarding the issue “Family”. In both places we shared pleasant moments in which we got to know each other better.

Liliana and Osvaldo were in charge of organizing part of the agenda: we visited a Christian bookstore, had a meeting with the President of ABC (Communitarian Bahiense Action) and also with “The Mission” group, among others. These are only a few of the activities we carried out.

We also had time visit some members of the congregation, who interviewed me for their bulletin.

On the 23rd and 24th, I participated in the South Circuit Youth Gathering, which met under the motto “For to me, to live is Christ”. A group of approximately 100 teenagers shared bible studies, devotions, and sports and recreation.

Here are some photos of several activities:

I hope we can meet again soon!

Helping people who contact us through CPTLN

I have been working for 3 years as a volunteer for CPTLN, at the Lutheran Church “Friends of Jesus Community”, in the Province of Salta, Argentina, doing office tasks and helping people who contact us for the booklets that CPTLN offers.

When I heard about the evangelistic work that CPTLN carries out through the booklets that are handed out for free, I was very interested in helping out with this Foundation. My whole life, I have enjoyed evangelism, not only sharing the Lord’s Word with other people, but also handing out evangelistic booklets in hospitals, clinics, and also in the street. And now I am 60 years old, and physically tired, but I continue to perform this task for the Lord, handing out these booklets to neighbors and people I know. I also enjoy giving spiritual counseling to the great majority of the people that come to get the booklets, and whom spontaneously tell me their problems and worries, giving me the opportunity to help them spiritually, through the Lord’s Word, and to offer them the adequate booklets for the situation they are going through. This is why I congratulate the CPTLN Foundation, for the wonderful work they are carrying out for the Glory and Honor of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
